Happy Yom Teruah!
To the Esteemed Heads of State/Governments and Ministers of the United Nations,
I respectfully submit the enclosed letter as a sincere appeal for spiritual restoration and global peace. This message is not political, but prophetic. It is rooted in decades of sacred study and recent revelations, and carries a call to return to the original name of the Creator—Yahweh—through His Messiah, Yahshua. (Please note the name).
The enclosed pages contain scriptural evidence, historical documentation, and Hebraic insights that affirm this truth. I ask that you receive it with prayerful consideration, and I thank you for your time and leadership.
With honor and faithful dedication, in Yahshua's name.
Don Butler
A Call to Restore the Name
To the Leaders of the Nations,
I write to you as a messenger—one who has spent over 30 years immersed in Biblical studies including the most recent sacred studies of the original language, worship, and ministries of those who walked with the Savior. My appeal is simple yet profound: that we restore the original name of the Creator, Yahweh, and His Messiah, Yahshua, in our national and global expressions of faith.
The name “Jesus,” though widely known, is a transliteration that emerged through Greek and Latin filters. It is not the name given to the Messiah in Hebrew. That name is Yahshua, meaning “Yahweh is salvation.” Likewise, the name “God” or “Lord” has replaced the personal, covenantal name Yahweh in most English Bibles—including the King James Version—over 6,800 times.
This is not a matter of semantics. It is a matter of identity, covenant, and truth.
Why This Matters
• Peace begins with truth. If we desire lasting peace among nations, we must return to the foundation: Yahweh of Hosts reconciling man through Yahshua the Messiah.
• Restoration brings clarity. When we restore the name, we restore the character, authority, and redemptive plan of the Creator.
• Scripture affirms it. The sacred texts consistently declare Yahweh’s oneness through Yahshua’s divine identity.
I urge you, as leaders of your people, to consider this message. Let us honor the One who formed us, redeemed us, and calls us by name.

๐น Scriptural Proof of the Sacred Name
• Deuteronomy 6:4 – “Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our Elohim, Yahweh is one.”
• Isaiah 45:5–6 – “I am Yahweh, and there is none else.”
• Zechariah 6:11–12 – Joshua (Yahshua) is prophetically crowned as “The Branch”
• John 1:1, 14 – Yahshua is the Word made flesh
• John 14:9 – “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”
• Colossians 2:9 – “In Him dwells all the fullness of the Elohimhead (God-head) bodily.”
• 1 Timothy 3:16 – “Eloah was manifest in the flesh…”
๐น Hebrew Word Studies
• Yahweh (๐ค๐ค๐ค ๐ค) – “Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand”
• Yahshua (๐ค๐ค๐ค ๐ค) – “Yahweh is Salvation”
• Echad (๐ค๐ค๐ค) – Absolute unity
• Emet (๐ค๐ค๐ค) – Truth from beginning to end
๐น Catholic Church Directive (2008)
• On June 29, 2008, the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued a directive forbidding the use of “Yahweh” in liturgical settings.
• Summary: The directive states that “in liturgical celebrations, in songs and prayers the name of God in the form of the tetragrammaton YHWH is neither to be used or pronounced.”
• Additional commentary: Catholic Resources summary
๐น Other Key References
• Isaiah 43:10–11 – “Beside Me there is no savior.”
• Acts 20:28 – “Purchased with His own blood.”
• Philippians 2:9–11 – Every knee shall bow to Yahshua
• Revelation 1:8 – “I am the Alpha and Omega…”
Over thousands of years, the original names of the Creator and His Messiah were changed—not by Yahweh, but by translators, scribes, and religious institutions trying to adapt sacred texts to different languages and cultures.
๐น Yahweh → LORD / God
• In the original Hebrew scriptures, the name of the Creator is spelled ืืืื (YHWH)—pronounced Yahweh.
• But when the Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek (Septuagint), the translators replaced Yahweh with Kyrios, meaning “Lord.”
• Later, Latin translators followed suit, using Dominus.
• By the time the King James Bible was produced in 1611, Yahweh had been replaced with LORD or God over 6,800 times.
• This change hides the personal, covenantal name of the Creator and replaces it with generic titles.
๐น Yahshua → Jesus
• The Messiah’s original Hebrew name is Yahshua (ืืฉืืข), meaning “Yahweh is salvation.”
• In Greek, there was no “Y” or “sh” sound, so Yahshua became Iฤsous (แผธησοแฟฆς).
• Latin later rendered this as Iesus, and English eventually turned it into Jesus.
• This name change disconnects the Messiah from His Hebrew roots and from the name of Yahweh Himself.
๐น Why It Matters
• Yahshua contains the name Yahweh—it’s a declaration of who He is and what He came to do.
• When we say “Jesus,” we lose the meaning: “Yahweh is salvation.”
• Restoring the names Yahweh and Yahshua reconnects us to the original truth, the original covenant, and the original power of redemption.
Commanded to Use and Extol the Name of Yahweh
Throughout Scripture, the sacred name Yahweh is not hidden—it is commanded to be known, declared, trusted, praised, and called upon. The idea that His name should be veiled or replaced contradicts the very heart of biblical worship.
๐น We Are Commanded to Call Upon His Name
• Joel 2:32 – “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered…”
• Psalm 105:1 – “O give thanks unto Yahweh; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people.”
• Zephaniah 3:9 – “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Yahweh…”
๐น We Are Commanded to Trust in His Name
• Proverbs 18:10 – “The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
• Isaiah 50:10 – “…let him trust in the name of Yahweh, and stay upon his Elohim.”
๐น We Are Commanded to Praise His Name
• Psalm 113:1–3 – “Praise ye Yahweh… Blessed be the name of Yahweh from this time forth and forevermore.”
• Psalm 29:2 – “Give unto Yahweh the glory due unto His name…”
• Psalm 66:2 – “Sing forth the honor of His name: make His praise glorious.”
๐น We Are Commanded to Declare His Name
• Exodus 9:16 – “…that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.”
• Malachi 1:11 – “For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down… My name shall be great among the nations…”
๐น We Are Commanded to Bless in His Name
• Deuteronomy 10:8 – “…to minister unto Him, and to bless in His name…”
• Numbers 6:27 – “And they shall put My name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.”
โจ The Power of “HalleluYah”
The word HalleluYah is not just a praise—it’s a command. It means “Praise Yah!” or more precisely: “Make the name Yahweh shine”, and is composed of:
• Hallelu – Imperative plural of “praise”
• Yah – The shortened, poetic form of Yahweh
This word appears 24 times in the Psalms, especially in the final crescendo of praise (Psalm 146–150). It is a universal call for all creation to exalt the name of Yahweh.
• Psalm 150:6 – “Let everything that hath breath praise Yahweh. HalleluYah!”
• Psalm 68:4 – “Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to His name… extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name Yah…”
