Heaven-Sent Vision Ignites Unprecedented Mob Violence, Marking a Turning Point for Israel!
By Adiv ben Zakai, Staff Reporter
Jerusalem is reeling from a day of unspeakable horror as a zealous follower of Yahshua, named Stephen, was brutally stoned to death after delivering a searing indictment before the Sanhedrin. The event, witnessed by a shocked populace, escalated from a fervent defense of the renewed covenant to a frenzied execution, forever etching this moment into the annals of our nation. Eyewitnesses report a scene of unimaginable chaos, as the esteemed High Council erupted in a collective roar of "blasphemy," leading to the immediate and savage demise of the accused.
The drama unfolded within the hallowed chambers of the Sanhedrin, where Stephen, a man described as "full of grace and power," had been brought under accusations of speaking against the set-apart Temple and the Torah (Law). His defense was not a plea for mercy but a powerful, historical recount of Yahweh's dealings with Israel, meticulously tracing our lineage from Abraham (Avraham) to the prophets, culminating in the manifestation of Yahshua. He boldly accused the council of consistently resisting the Ruach Ha Qodesh (Set-Apart Spirit) and murdering the prophets, just as they had rejected and executed Yahshua, the Righteous One.
The tension reached a fever pitch as Stephen, undeterred by the mounting rage of his accusers, lifted his gaze heavenward. He then declared, with a radiant face, "Behold! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of Eloah!" This proclamation, echoing the words of the prophet Daniel (Daniyel) in his vision of the "Son of Man" receiving dominion (Daniel 7:13-14), was met with howls of outrage. Scribes and elders covered their ears, convinced they had heard the gravest of all offenses against Yahweh. Theological scholars among the Yahshua followers explain that in Hebraic thought, "the right hand of Eloah" signifies the ultimate position of divine power, authority, and glory, not a separate entity. Yahshua, the visible manifestation of the one Yahweh, is glorified in this position, confirming His absolute oneness with the Creator, as declared in Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our Elohim, Yahweh is one (echad)." This vision, they contend, revealed Yahshua in His ascended, divine authority as the singular Yahweh made manifest.
"It was pure pandemonium," recounted a terrified merchant who had managed to observe some of the proceedings from the outskirts. "They dragged him out of the city, tearing at his garments, their faces contorted with a hatred I have never before witnessed." The mob, abandoning all pretense of judicial process, propelled Stephen to the gates, where they began to hurl massive stones at him. As the brutal assault commenced, Stephen, even in his final moments, cried out, "Yahshua, receive my spirit!" and then, collapsing under the barrage, uttered, "Master, do not hold this sin against them!"
Among those present, holding the cloaks of the frenzied executioners, was a young man named Saul, known for his zealous persecution of the followers of Yahshua. His presence underscores the deep-seated opposition and the official sanction, however unofficial, behind this horrifying act. The death of Stephen marks the first martyrdom among the adherents of Yahshua, setting a chilling precedent for what may lie ahead for this burgeoning movement. Will this brutal silencing crush the spirit of the Nazarenes, or will it ignite a new, unyielding flame? Only Yahweh knows the answer.
